Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

One of the toughest battles we face is the battle of the mind. The mind is a powerful tool that needs to be transformed. It can be by following Jesus.
One definition of transformation is a “thorough change.” That is what Jesus offers to us when it comes to our minds: a new way of changed thinking.
In today’s scripture from Romans, we see that once thinking begins to change, “then you will learn to know God’s will for you.” Once we have a new way of thinking, we can begin to experience a new way of living to clearly understand God’s will for our lives. It’s important to pay close attention to the thoughts that flood our minds because they will directly influence our actions and the rest of what we do. Moods, energy, words, attitudes, and actions are all connected to our minds.
Our enemy Satan will always try to invade our minds, so we must be ready! Our helmet of salvation will give us confidence and help protect our minds from the negativity and darkness Satan wants to use against us.
Thought of the day: Start your day off by thinking on and reflecting on positive and healthy things, preferably on God’s Word. Philippians 4:8 says: “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
Prayer: Jesus, renew, transform, and change my mind to be more like You. Remove those thoughts that are negative by the power of Your Holy Spirit and help me to put on my helmet of salvation every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
