2 Corinthians 5:15, 21
He died for everyone so those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Have you ever witnessed a precious elderly couple who finish each other’s sentences and dote on each other because that’s just a part of their everyday routine? They do it because it seems like that’s all they know to do. Their love for each other is incredibly intense after years of being one that they wouldn’t think of allowing the other person not to shine or reach their goals. They want nothing but the best for their loving partner. Their love is so strong that when their loved one suffers pain, the other suffers. When one cries, the other sheds tears of sorrow. They would even go as far as to die for each other. That is such a beautiful picture of love, isn’t it?
An even greater picture of love is what God did for you and me. God gave His one and only Son, Jesus, who He loved like no other to be the sacrifice for our sin and pay the penalty that we owe…just for us! If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is. God is waiting for you and me to come to Him.
Jesus died so we might live an abundant and eternal life. Jesus died so we might be free. Jesus died for your sins and mine. Oh, how grateful I am for His love for you and me.
Thought of the day: Have you accepted that gift? Have you shared that gift with your family and friends? You can today.
Prayer: Abba Father, we ask You today to come along side our family and friends. Move in their hearts and draw them to Your presence. It is there where they will find peace and the fullness of Your love. It is there where You will supply all of their needs and give them a fresh touch and the goodness of Your blessings. Place upon them Your wisdom and understanding, that they will live for You in such a way that honors and glorifies Your Holy name. Increase their desire to want to know and trust You more. Remove all fear and doubt from their lives as they fully submit to You and replace it with Your perfect love. Where there is suffering, strengthen and heal them. Where there is division and bitterness, restore and replace with Your mercy and grace. Where Satan’s plan is to kill, steal, and destroy, show Your power and might to take him down. Move in us to reveal any sin keeping us from Your presence. Give us grace for today and then tomorrow supply an entirely new source of grace for us to draw upon. We need You Lord and we are thankful that at the end of the day You have our tomorrows in Your Almighty hands. May we submit to You now as Christ-like examples to our future generations of Your goodness, faithfulness, grace and mercy. Amen.
