How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Jesus was in the business of life change. Therefore, we are in the business of life change. Jesus said to His disciples, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
The last commandment Jesus gave His disciples prior to ascending to the heaven was this: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 19-20)
Jesus gave His church a clear direction.
But Jesus never expected us to go out into the world alone. Jesus knew our strength and endurance would fail us if we were alone. This is one of the reasons Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit, who provides strength and comfort as we share our testimony (Act 1:8). When we lean into the never-ending power of God, we are able to accomplish all things. (Philippians 4:13)
Thought of the day: Think of an area in your life where God is prompting you. Are you willing to trust in God’s strength to be faithful in this area?
Prayer: Lord, thank You for the opportunity to be a part of Your church! I know all things are accomplished through Jesus who strengthens me. I humble myself and pray You use me for Your glory! I pray for the future of our church and our leadership. I ask You to help me be a good steward of the resources You have blessed me with. Help me honor You in with all things. Thank You for the wisdom to give first, save second, and live on the rest. Thank You for the great privilege to give to Your work and expand Your Kingdom in this place. In Jesus’ name, amen.
